Isolde sat by herself at the bar until a young man walked up to her. Winking, he sat next to her. She blushed looking away.
"Do you know how much a dragon weighs?"
Isolde gave the man a strange look. "...no. Why?"
"Well, it's enough to break the ice."
Isolde smirked. "Funny."
The man leaned towards her. "Can I buy you dinner?"
"Ah..."
"A beautiful woman like you shouldn't have to eat alone."
Isolde blushed again. She was at a loss of words.

Halahk's eyes grew clouded. He clenched his fists, wanting to get up and tell the little prick next to her to bugger off. God, he was acting like she was Dakota again. And he hardly knew it.

Isolde heard Halahk's voice. She smiled up at him. "Halahk, you're late." She got up from her chair and took his hand. "I'm ready to go." She looked back at the surprised man. "It was nice talking with you." She walked away with Halahk. Once they were alone, she blushed. "Thanks. I...owe you one."

Halahk looked out the window for a moment. He felt slightly vulnerable, talking about Dakota. However, he slowly took a few steps towards the window, climbing out onto the roof next to Isolde and crossing his legs. His eyes drifted away from her, taking in the city that surrounded them. Breathing in, then out deeply, Halahk blinked a few times. "I don't know where to start."

Azrael smiled just a little bit. Nostalgia flashed through his mind, his grin growing just a bit wider. "Well... me and Dakota..." he stutters slowly, his eyes searching the ground. "We weren't together for a very long time..."

Isolde looked at him, listening closely to every word. "Well... me and Dakota...We weren't together for a very long time..." She pulled her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. "My mother never was able to stay with one person for a very long time," she said softly.

A very small smile broke out across his cheeks. He quickly hid it by solemnly glancing towards his feets, sitting crossing his legs and folding his hands together. "Well, that is Dakota. She was always a little bit promiscuous." Halahk shrugged his shoulders. He dearly hoped she would not be offended by his words.
