"I apologize, but I am not quite sure what you mean by that question, Your Majesty. I do not plan on leaving, if that answers your question."
Emaera, however, knew what her father was attempting to ask. “It is possible that I could be with child,” she admitted after a moment, the faintest blush coloring her high cheekbones. King Enya sighed wearily, leaning back in his chair to study them both. “I see. Well, Kithh B’narign, I must ask of your intentions. If Emaera proves to be without child, will you choose to leave? Or is this more than a game to you? I have met many a man who would ruin a woman and abandon her--regardless of her condition, and though you strike me as a better man than that, I would hear it from your own lips, if I may.”
This was going well, better than she had hoped. Her father did not seem so much angry as anxious and tired. Emaera relaxed visibly, letting out a breath that she hadn’t realized she had been holding for over a minute now. Kithh only had to pledge his loyalty to her, and then her father would be appeased--for the time being, at least. ((I think she should be pregnant, they would make hot kids XD ))

Kithh nodded his head slightly when Emaera answered the desired questioned. It would take him a while to get use to humans and the way they did things. Everything about humans was vague. He had been raised to be direct, yet humans didn't have the same training as elves. It would make this all the harder because Emaera knew not of elven customs as he didn't know human.
"I see. Well, Kithh B'narign, I must ask of your intentions. If Emaera proves to be without child, will you choose to leave? Or is this more than a game to you? I have met many a man who would ruin a woman and abandon her--regardless of her condition, and though you strike me as a better man than that, I would hear it from your own lips, if I may." the King said thoughtfully.
Again, were humans so horrible that they would do such a thing to a woman? Elves were raised with more honor and decency than that. At least most of them, anyway. "I will stand by her with or without child." he answered, simply. "I will only leave if she truthfully wants me to." he added, his voice lowered.

Enya studied him for a moment longer, then nodded once. "That is what I wished to hear," he remarked softly, approval evident in his voice. Emaera let out her held breath and reached for Kithh's hand again, her lithe form melting against his tall, strong one out of sheer relief. Enya raised an eyebrow at herdisplay. "What did you think I would say, Emaera?" He inquired. Emaera ducked her head, letting a curtain of her dark hair fall in front of her face.
"In all honesty, father, I hadn't any idea how you would react to something like this." she replied quietly. He considered this and nodded. "This is rather out of character and entirely irresponsible, especially for you, Emaera. I would never have thought, in my wildest dreams, that you would do something so incredibly idiotic."
Emaera shrunk back under his lecture, shame weighing down on her. Of course, she knew she deserved every word of it.
"Somehow, though," Enya continued in a much softer, gentler tone, "I get the feeling you may be better off for it."

Kithh's expression remained the same after the King began speaking, but the tension in his shoulders slowly desolved, allowing him to become relaxed, even among the strange setting. He rarely went indoors for long periods of time, and other than the elven castle, he'd never been inside one. The differences where highly distinct. Elves and humans just had different styles in things, apparently. Humans liked sharp, and defined, while elves went for fluid but crisp.
The approval in King Enya's voice made his lips turn up in a small comradely smile. He felt closer to the King now, and his approval, too, was evident. As Emaera suddenly clasped his hand and melted into his side, he kept his head level, although he was silently surprised. Emaera had been avoiding contact with him like he was the plague up until this point. She must have really been afraid of her father's judgement.
Feeling her body cringe against him at the disapproval the King voiced, his arm that was around her waist tightened subtly, not in a threatening way but in a way that he hoped would give her a bit of strength, enough to endure. Kithh bowed his head as the King finished talking. High praise from a father and a King who just found out his eldest daughter slept with a man she didn't know.
His eyes rose slowly to the King's and the message was clear. It was obvious that he felt it was so, at least for him. He felt better off for it. Completely. In his eyes was an apology, acceptance, and comradeship. He was sorry for taking the man's daughter from him the way he did, he accepted that he would be with her forever, and enjoyed that fact, and he knew that they would be seeing a lot of each other. He approved of the King. Something that would kill any other for their ignorance.

Enya gazed at them for a moment longer, then shook his head. A small smile, however hard he attempted to hide it, tugged at the corners of his lips as he waved a dismissive hand. "Oh, enough." He rolled his eyes and turned to Kithh, lowering his voice conspiritially(sp?). "Make sure she introduces you to the servants, don't let her get too distracted by her little friends down at the battleschool, and for the love of God, don't let her near the armory! The blacksmith swears she destroys every piece of metal she touches."
Emaera coughed uncomfortably and grabbed Kithh's arm, pausing only in her attempt to drag him from the room in order to kiss her father's cheek, and then had him out of there so quickly it was as if they had been teleported. "I haven't the faintest idea what he's going on about, really. I haven't been to the armory in weeks." she grumbled.

The moment the King had finished talking, Kithh's sharp and contangeous laugh broke from his lips in a wave of mirth, and continued as Emaera forcefully dragged him from the room. "I haven't the faintest idea what he's going on about, really. I haven't been to the armory in weeks." came here mumbled excuse.
Kithh chuckled, and wrapped one arm tenderly around her waist. "A little bit of a destructive streak, you have, huh?" he murmured, kissing her forehead. "Oh, I believe you." he smiled, knowing that she probably hadn't been there in a while. "It seems your father reacted as I expected. I'm glad. I like him." he murmured, conspiritorally. "Let the tour begin?" he questioned, his dark eyes endless as he gazed down at her.

”A little bit of a destructive streak, you have, huh?” he questioned, his lips gracing the skin of her forehead sweetly. ”Don’t listen to him,” Emaera grumbled in response, trying to scowl but unable to be unhappy in his prensence. “That old man is insane.”
"It seems your father reacted as I expected. I'm glad. I like him." he said. Emaera looked up at him for a long moment, feeling a sudden warmth fill her. Standing on her tip-toes, she leaned up and pressed her lips to his, ignoring the shocked gasps of all the servant viewing the unexpected display of affection. “I love you,” she told him in a breathless whisper, but in the silence of the hall she might as well have screamed it.
((sorry, it’s not the best))

"Don't listen to him. That old man is insane." she muttered under her breath cutely. Chuckling at her childishness, he swept her into the embrace of his arms. "My dear, Emaera, did you just call the King of Mitya insane?" he snickered, his breath warming against her cheek. He could see her struggling to look annoyed or angry, but he knew she was finding it just to impossible from the slap-happy grin that wouldn't leave her face.
Quite suddenly, she was reaching up on her tip-toes, and he felt her lips pressed against his, right there in the very open hall. His arms tightened around her. "Good, this would be very awkward otherwise." he murmured, first, before adding, "I love you too," With his arms tightening around her, he lead her from the hall, wishing they were somewhere more private, but knowing they had to get this tour over with.

She sighed, looking up at him regretfully. "All in favor of starting, and ending, the chore upstairs, in my bedroom?" she asked teasingly, looping her arms around his neck loosely.
The servants seemed to find this a mixture of scandalous and endearing, judging by the whispers of "awww" and "good lord!". Emaera ignored them for once, instead choosing to gaze into the tawny eyes of her lover.

Kithh found himself grinning down slyly at his elven love as she gazed up at him regretfully. "All in favor." he nodded, his tawny eyes flashing mischeviously. the reactions of the court hardly bothered him, and as long as she was alright with it, what did it matter? He was certain that he'd like to start in her bedroom, but whether she was serious or not, they had to see the upstairs sometime. Once they were upstairs, he picked her up and tossed her lightly on his back, carrying her. He could feel her warm breath on his ear.

Emaera blinked as she suddenly found herself a foot and a half taller than usual, and pressed against the strong back of her lover. More scandalized gasps and cries of surprise followed them the entire way up, making her feel somewhat giddy. She was always sticking to the rules of society as if they were holy, and it was a new experience to be purposly breaking them.
The Princess slid off his back as they neared her door, which was built of beautiful mahogony wood and intricately decorated with little carved vines and flowers. She opened the door and slipped in, smiling as she welcomed him into the elaborately decorated chambers. "Step right in to my home, good sir," she said lightly, waiting for him to do so.
It was as if she had been living a dream, these past two days, and seeing Kithh step into her rooms with the easy grace of a wildcat brought everything into perspective…made everything, somehow, more real. She felt now, more than ever before, that Fate had brought them together.
“Into our home.” she corrected herself softly. Gods willing, this would become as much his home as hers.
Of course, she hadn’t the slightest idea just how willing the Gods were.
