"Promise?" the boy whispered after staring at Raziel for many long seconds. During the moments of silence the tears stopped flowing relentlessly from the human boy's eyes and his sniffling ceased. Even before Raziel answered him, the child nodded.
"Yes child, I promise she will be safe at the Angel Haven." he said patiently. "An Angel certainly would not harm her, and humans are not allowed in without an escort, and those with an Angel guardian are watched thoroughly so that they are not only protected but not misbehaving." he added a moment later. It would be his job to watch both of them, not because they were really a threat, but so that they wouldn't hurt any other humans that might happen to be there. Afterall, humans tended to be violent, which by rights they shouldn't be. They had been created by the same power as Angels, so they had enough good in them that they should be able to fight of the evil, should they try.
The woman stood quickly, pulling Tyrel into her arms calmly. Her eyes followed him as he looked Heaven-ward, but it took her a moment longer to hear the Song from above. As it did her eyes instantly dialated at the sound of pure beauty coming from his Angelic siblings. His eyes flashed for just a moment with an unreadable expression.
"What is that?" she whispered, her voice filled with her awe. After his barked command she stepped toward him saying, "How are we getting there? I might have enough money for a horse...barely."
"We do not need a horse. Now, please, both of you - cover your ears. Block out the music. Unless you wish to experience visions of eating human flesh and other horrors, that is." his voice dropped low so that the child wouldn't be able to hear his last statement. "Step back please. At least a good five feet." he said as he turned toward the wall directly beside him. Silver gauntlets suddenly formed on his hands, the knuckles spiked dangerously. His golden eyes flashed as both hands lifted in front of his face for just a second. His right hand suddenly shot out slamming into the bricked wall, ripping into it easily and sending shards of brick propelling away from him. A bubble of silver light appeared around the two humans and the brick bounced harmlessly against it. Both of his arms lifted again in front of his face momentarily as the impact of his fists sent the wind rushing around him, his hair swirling around his body as both wings flattened against his back to keep him in place.
For a moment the large area that had been destroyed by his fist was simply a black gaping hole in the wall, but in the next instant a white, glorious light filtered into it. Turning back to the humans as the dust settled, his hand reached out toward them, the gauntlet dissolving from his skin. "Come. Take my hand." he said, his voice gentle. Just by walking through the Portal they would arrive outside the Angel's Building. No human could see it without an Angelic escort. With one, however, you'd be subject to a brilliant white mansion that stretched as far as the eye could see with statues of Angels that guarded the building. The gates to the residency were exact replicas of the Gates of Heaven only millions of times smaller. Outside the building were sure to be many strolling Angelic couples dressed in clothing from many different areas - the one they preferred most. It was....like something out of a fairy-tale; all they had to do was step into the Light.

"Yes child, I promise she will be safe at the Angel Haven." The angel said patiently. Fae glanced sharply at him; had there been an undertone of irritation? Any sign of it was void on his face. Of course not, she reasoned. No angel would grow so impatient, even though he certainly had a right to be at this point. Dealings with humans and a demon at that...?
Tyrel frowned, gazing up at Raziel. The wheels in his young mind were turning; Faicianna could almost swear that she saw the steam erupting from his ears. Clearly, something was bothering him.
"What's a....a 'angel'?" He finally inquired, drawing out the word slowly. Fae sighed, choosing to bring up the topic later rather than go into it now, when time was so scarce. Raziel, too, seemed to move on.
"An Angel certainly would not harm her, and humans are not allowed in without an escort, and those with an Angel guardian are watched thoroughly so that they are not only protected but not misbehaving."
What was this place he spoke of? An angel haven... Though he had already explained it, the concept was alien to her. All her life, she had lived with the mutterings of the demon in the back of her mind. Now there lurked only a vague emptiness; no sinful murmurs, no paranoid hisses. Any concept of angelic influence was most certainly lost on her.
"Guardians...?" she repeated. Guardian angels? So it was true?
Raziel seemed stressed. She watched as his eyes drifted anxiously to the portal, the faint rise and fall of the choir-like music intoxicating.
"We do not need a horse. Now, please, both of you - cover your ears. Block out the music. Unless you wish to experience visions of eating human flesh and other horrors, that is."
Fae backpedaled in surprise. Could such a heavenly sound induce that sort of vision? The world was more twisted than she thought. Heaving a deep sigh, she turned to look at Tyrel. Luckily, the child had escaped the low mutter towards the end of Raziel's statement, and now was simply looking to her for confirmation.
Simon says...
"Go ahead, Tyrel." She whispered with a reassuring smile. Tyrel hesitated, then finally obliged. Now she simply turned her gaze back to the angel, uncertaintly evident in her features as she obeyed his instructions, taking the hand extended.
"Let's just hope this 'haven' is as good as you claim..."
((Okay, I know it sucked; I dont even know what my character's name is. I'm at Cody's, so I didn't want to waste any more time checking xD I dont even know what's going on in this thread any more! The next one will be better, I PROMIIIIISEEEEE!!!!))

ooc// now im creating time and muse for this simply out of force of will, so you will hopefully attempt to do the same with charon now, please. <3
bic// "Guardians...?"
The female's voice seemed to echo in Raziel's head, her uncertainty curling its destructive fingers are his mind in slow, tantalizing strokes. This woman had been subjected to so much demonic energy that the simple mentioning of something as simple as a Guardian Angel seemed almost too much for her to grasp. As it was, her understanding of the words he had spoken were not correct in the full context of her meaning. No Angel protected one individual human at any time - now being an exception - so the idea that an invisible, angelic presence watching over your shoulder at every moment was completely incorrect. However, Angels did watch over humans. They guarded them from the Heavenly Plane vigilantly, a mass of warrior being ready to put down their lives for the mortals they loved.
The loss of her uncertainty from his mind returned him instantly to the present. Fai had shifted a step away from him, surprise clearly written across every inch of her body at his last words. Oh, yes, the Song of the Angels was like poison to humans. It was the new Gods of this age that had made it so. Their sin had dripped through the dimensions and embedded itself in the human system, it was their flaws that had corrupted the human race. Any unpure creature that heard the song of the Untainted Ones were subjected to delusions and visions of untold horrors because of the sins within them. Raziel could still remember a time when the humans could listen to the Songs and their dancing from the joy of it would last through many nights; now all he could see wild, uncontrollable looks in their eyes and how one instant they'd be perfectly normal and the next they would be leaning over their mother, friend, lover stuffing bits of their flesh into their mouths.
Finally gaining her barings, she looked to the infant at her side, gazing at her with wide, ungrasping eyes. "Go ahead, Tyrel," she breathed, a wavery smile twisting her lips. "Let's just hope this 'haven' is as good as you claim..." she announced, a moment later, her eyes hard upon him as she took his hand. It was evident that she didn't have much faith in the Angel Haven, he hoped that her would be for naught.
His large hand seemed to swallow hers up as he held onto it firmly. For a fraction of a second, his golden eyes held hers, silently telling her that even this may not work, before his eyes lowered to the young one on the grand. "Take his hand, so that he does not get lost in the Portal," he murmured, turnning his eyes back to the woman's for just a moment. Once she had obeyed his gentle command, Raziel's luminous eyes turned to the Portal, considering. Without a second thought, he left behind the Songs that called to him and stepped into the goldening opening in the hole his gauntlets had made.
A feeling of gliding through luke warm water doused his body and brought calm through his head as Light surrounded him. "Close your eyes," he breathed, his voice carrying back to them on still winds. While the Light would not hurt their eyes, it could entice them into wandering away from him, and if they got lost in the Light of the Portal, they would remain their for eternity. While it was a fearsome possiblity, it wasn't the worst way to go. Demons could not survive in this Light, and only unfiltered joy could remain here. If one were lost, they would never want to be found.
Finally, the burn of Light on the backs of his eyelids disappeared leaving flashes of it dancing across his vision. A gentle swell of cool air fanned his face as he stepped through the portal, his booted foot stepping soundlessly onto cobblestone. Opening his eyes, he took in the brilliant Gate before him. Behind its luster, he could vaguely see the pure white spirals of the Angel Haven towering over the top of the Golden Gate. Passing in front of the Gates and further along the street that seemed to go nowhere and everywhere at the same time for eternity, strolled Angellic couples. A few passed in clothes of a time long since passed, made entirely of leaves and vines, their hair done up with flowers that were radiant with colors that could not be named. Others wore long, cloaks and dresses that sweeped out around dainty ankles, leaving a few yet that wore clothes not yet to be seen in the human realm, a blue material with stitches running up either side along with cotton made fabrics clung possibly too tight to the bodies that wore them.
Raziel's eyes sweeped behind him to make sure that his charges had remained with him. If they were not, he would be Bound to return to the Portal's warmth to search for them, even though he would fail.
ooc// they aren't wet. XD
