Name: Toari Locka
Nickname: "Solarboy" "Solarboy the Radiant"
Powers: Fueled by the very light of day, Toari can simply stand in the suns light to maintain his well being, like that of a plant. As a result he has no need to eat or drink. He can manually increase his intake via an exorcise which consists of standing meditation and controlled breathing which he calls "A Light snack".
He has enough focus and drive to extract nourishment and power from a distant star if needs be (During the night, for example), though what is salvaged from this will sustain him for little more than an hour. Without the sun Toari will fall ill and eventually perish. He must meditate to the stars in the night sky instead of sleeping.
Toari uses the power of "Starlight" to fight, casting magnificent glare and heat as intense as a heavenly shine and as hot as a volcanic tantrum. He uses the latter as a foundation upon his fighting style; akin of a fighting stance, whereupon Toari can enhance his physical strikes with "Starlight" or use it to dedicate a single ray of light toward his foe, blinding and steadily scorching them. Toari also becomes physically empowered whilst in this state, enabling feats of uncommon strength and agility, though not to any superhuman extent.
Age: 22 years
Gender: Male
Race: Human?
Appearance: Average looking build and a little more than average height. Toari's skin complection and hair colour change drastically in a matter of hours due to the sun (usually Bronzed hair and a slight of tan). He has a dignified grin and a casual, calm look in his brewing yellow-red eyes.
He clothes himself in a dark blue or black waistcoat over a fanged and tailed white long sleeved shirt. His trousers are black but additional white pads home the shin areas. smart white shoes are laced with black ties. very swish with the trouser braces hanging around his upper legs rather than over his shoulders.
Personality: Toari has a nack of surprising new people with his deceivingly sharp and straight looks by being rather chatty, to an almost incoherent degree. Not that he actually pays attention to himself let alone cares that he becomes overenthusiastic in his rants of comedic endeavour. Despite his talkative and friendly social engage, he maintains his smart and levelheaded appearance and demeanor. Even close friends have trouble enjoying themselves as easily as Toari does.
However, as wrathful as he is joyful, Toari never forgives and never forgets. His unwavering passion to avenge and his fearlessness make him a brutal grudge holder just as his undying collective and cool manorism keep him well prepared for any consequence that would befall him on part of his vengeful actions. A rage contained so calmly that it brings about unnerving and disarray with nothing more than a leer.
Kingdom: Belongs to none, but sees himself visiting all of them at some point. Currently living in either Udiya or the Sun Shrines scattered throughout the Xipil Desert. His home town/Kingdom was never recalled and he doesn't particularly need to know yet.
History: Toari was born during an Erebos raid of his relatives hometown in a distant land, where his parents moved to celebrate a new arrival to the family. the pain of delivery and the mind numbing fear ended his mothers life immediately after his birth and his father was lost to denial and died fighting minions to try and save his beloved wife. Toari was stolen away by a light footed priestess in white desert looking apparel and he was spared from the chaos.
Toari was then raised for 9 years as a warrior monk of the sun in a Sun Shrine located somewhere in the vast expanses of the Xipil Desert, where he devoutly learned and observed everything he could about using the "Starlight" to defend himself and prosper in life.
It is speculated that these monks were indeed weird, as is Toari to most people, however, according to Toari they were very at well held and silent of tonge.
It was, in fact, the ticklish daughter of High Monk Riser and Priestess Hilmai that made Toari the bizarre soul he is today. Her name was Hiliimi and from Toari's account she was the most unusual and afflicted girl on the face of the world. much unlike her parents. It was Hiliimi's mother, Hilmai, that saved Toari from the fate of his family and their home and brought him to the Sun Shrine.
Toari began traveling solo when he was 14 years old. the 4 or 5 years in between his initial flight and his lonely walk saw him traveling with Hiliimi. The two started a kind of pilgrimage to each sun shrine across the Xipil Desert. to this day, Toari has yet to visit them all due to his now never ending chase to find his remaining family members, among other things.
At the age of 19 Toari found proof that his older sister was alive. Unfortunately, she was a renowned gambler and thief wanted by almost every salesman and pub landlord in the entire region. Even now her name is still not known to him. Only her street given name, "Pale mouse" has any baring on anyone at all, if that.
At the age of 20 Toari was re-united with a familiar charm or talisman of some sort. It was Hiliimi's Sun Talon. He was invited into a hostel in the city of Udiya for a single night and the room given to him must have previously belonged to Hiliimi, concluding that she must have accidentally left her Sun Talon behind.
Toari decided to hold onto it after much debate, hoping that he would encounter Hiliimi on her way back to reclaim he lost item.
Toari bares the lost Talon still, but with no regret.
His search only became more so broadened when he was confronted by a small group of Erebos minion raiders in the Xipil Desert along a track leading to a Sun Shrine. he promptly and professionally dispatched of them in the space of a long encounter. The desert sun was on his side, to his fortune.
What he found on the raiders possessions didn't make him feel any better.
As he had gandered, the once beautiful shining white robes of the Sun Monks he had found to be tarnished by the grip of evil had come from the nearby Sun Shrine. he went to take a look for sheer curiosity, knowing that any survivors will have fled.
The Shrine was noting more than a few lumps of well carved stones bludgeoned in twain by mighty demonic weaponry. Regardless, Toari found the Sun-Blessed water among the carnage and used it to cleanse his Talon for luck. He went ahead and cleaned Hiliimi's Talon too.
The Talon shone. This meant that it's initial barer had their sun blessing increased. Which meant that Hiliimi was alive. And hopefully well, given the fact she just received an anonymous blessing.
But what happened at the Shrine raised Toari's concern for his fellow Sun Monks. He also noticed that the Shrines Solar Crystal had been stolen; it's seal had been opened carefully and not recklessly trounced like the rest of the Shrines precious ornaments.
He had Defeated a great sand beast in the Xipil Desert with Hiliimi fighting with him.
He had inadvertently prevented a gang war in Udiya between two new rival gangs of thieves whilst inquiring about his sister's whereabouts.
He had Braved Fajra's Blazing rage of molten and fire to retrieve a blessing of the volcanic cleansing water hidden away by the monks deep withing the volcanoes caves and caverns to test their pilgrims.
He fought off more bandits than he could count on one hand.
But he knew he wasn't going to get it easy from here on. There were some incredible villains and unbelievable fighters in the world, The most bizarre people to converse with and even more searching to do. A missing Crystal, a long lost sister, and a childhood friend to find...
... At the age of 22, lazily tending the drink stand at the water house, placing his well walked feet upon the dusty windowsill with his backside comfortably nestled into a wooden fold chair and humming contemptibly to himself...
"... Cos' all
I do
is dance..."
