Name: Jet
Nick Name: Jet, or 'That bloody cat'
Gender: Male
Race: Felyne (Lynian)
Powers:
Demon Flute:
Jet plays a fiery melody on its black and red dragonbone flute that inspires its companions with more strength.
Armor Flute:
Jet plays a tough melody on its brown and yellow dragonbone flute that hardens the skin of its companions.
True Health Flute:
Jet plays a soothing melody on its green and blue dragonbone flute that fills its companions with a healing surge.
Felyne Technician:
Jet, like the majority of the rest of the Felyne race, is an expert with flashpowder and charge rods, as well as trap setting and device rigging.
Through Jet's ingenious mind he is able to build small expendable contraptions that served a set purpose to aid Zaka in previous and future hunts.
Pitfall Traps are a favourite, ingenious and easy to make, a hole in the floor of any size covered with a mesh made of wire and leaves.
The Shock Trap is a device designed by jet using mesh wiring and charge rods created from Khezu's electro sacs.
Upon a creature standing on the pressure switch in the middle of the mesh disguised as a rock, the charge rod is broken releasing a stunning current through the mesh to stun the occupier for a few moments.
Barrel Bombs, a favourite of Jet's arsenal much to Zaka's dismay at times. Flashpowder in a barrel with a fuse, very primitive and very effective, though used by jet in a means that it should never ever be used.
Jet usually lights the fuse, then picks up the bomb attempts to get in close and lobs it as far as it's tiny arms will allow.
Age: 5 (Lynian Years) 10 (Human Years)
Fur/Scale Color: White/Tan
Eye Color: Cyan
Appearance: Cat-like Lynians that are noted for their bright fur. Felynes are quiet until angered in which case they may attack, brandishing crude tools and ingenious devices. They like to harass enemies and steal items of note from their person.
Capable of speech they are often found in the employ of human masters.
Personality:Jet is very loyal to Zaka, but also very mischevous and sometimes despite his bright mind, very daft.
It spends a lot of its time complaining about it's treatment in its own felyne language and can only barely speak the basic human tongue.
Jet is adventurous and likes to travel, mainly due to its duty but also just because of curiosity in general.
It can be very cowardly also, preferring to burrow underground and dig to safety to watch the battle from afar rather than staying in the forefront unless there is no other choice.
History: Also from the land of Pokke, Jet was in Zaka's employ ever since he became a hunter, as his first Felyne Jet was the most valued of his companions.
His choice on many a long quest Jet has had a great deal of experience in hunting as well as orienteering.
Jet's life in the village was just as hard as any humans, as a felyne they were given most of the menial jobs like cooking and cleaning for the town, as well as assisting the blacksmith in creating armours and helping our around the farm (including mucking out the stables...bearing in mind Felynes are only 3 feet tall).
But life wasn't that hard once under the employ of a hunter, their larger wage generally meant a Felyne was well looked after, Jet was no exception to that rule, partly the reason why Jet is so loyal to Zaka aside from the countless scrapes they have saved each other from in many hunts.
Felynes are a music loving folk that enjoy the sound of a flute in particular, when not doing hard menial work they like to gather, dance and caterwaul to the melody of the flute.
It was in Zaka's employ that Jet found it had the gift of being a Felyne flute sage. a Felyne that has the ability to draw out the hidden powers of three types of flutes rather than getting a melody out of them.
As a treat Zaka bought him an Armour flute as a reward for a successful hunt, and as Jet began to play Zaka felt his skin begin to toughen.
Needless to say, the Demon and True Health flutes were rapidly purchased afterwards.
On Zaka's travels Jet usually manages the caravan, which is loosely a large Herbivorous lizard around the size of a cow that has a saddlepack with three compartments. One containing the necessities of making the camp, another holding Zaka's swords and armours and the third holding raw materials for Jet's crude inventions.
